Description
The 5MP Night Vision Camera Module is an infrared imaging sensor designed for use with the Raspberry Pi 4B. Ideal for students, makers, and robotics hobbyists, it provides continuous image capture across both daytime and zero-light conditions. It connects directly to your board via the dedicated CSI bus for simple integration into vision-based projects.
5MP OV5647 imaging sensor
The module is built around the 5-megapixel OV5647 image sensor to capture still photography and video feeds. It delivers crisp resolution for computer vision, monitoring, and maker projects.
Dual 850nm infrared illuminators
Fitted with two 850nm IR LEDs, the board illuminates dark environments to provide reliable night vision. This allows you to monitor spaces and track objects without emitting visible light.
Automatic ambient light sensing
Built-in light detection tracks ambient brightness levels to manage night-vision illumination automatically. This ensures consistent video capture during lighting transitions.
Adjustable 3.6mm focal lens
An adjustable 3.6mm lens lets you fine-tune the focus manually for your specific application. This provides flexibility whether framing close-up objects or wide-area scenes.
Dedicated CSI interface connection
Engineered for compatibility with the Raspberry Pi 4B, the camera communicates via the standard onboard CSI interface. This direct hardware connection ensures low-latency data transmission without tying up USB ports.
