Description
The TOFSense F2P is a professional direct time-of-flight (dTOF) laser distance sensor engineered to measure ranges up to 50 metres with ±3cm accuracy. Featuring 100K LUX ambient light resistance and a 100Hz refresh rate, it operates reliably in full sunlight for aerial surveys, intelligent transport systems, and industrial automation. It is ideal for robotics engineers, makers, and researchers integrating high-speed distance sensing with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP32 platforms.
Long-range precision distance measurement
Using direct time-of-flight technology, the sensor delivers reliable measurements across a 0.05m to 50m range with ±3cm accuracy and 1mm resolution. Its tight 1° to 2° field of view allows for accurate targeting in drone terrain mapping, stockpile volume scanning, and industrial inventory management.

High-speed 100Hz refresh rate
With a rapid 100Hz update rate, the sensor provides real-time distance data suited for fast-moving environments. This high refresh frequency enables prompt reaction times in UAV obstacle avoidance, vehicle speed monitoring, and AGV path planning.
Direct sunlight resistance
Designed to operate in harsh lighting conditions, the sensor resists ambient illumination up to 100K LUX without signal degradation. This allows uninterrupted performance outdoors on bright construction sites, agricultural fields, and open highway gantries.
Compact form factor and interfaces
Weighing only 7.5g and measuring 22.7 x 28.0 x 13.6 mm, the module integrates easily into weight-sensitive setups. It supports UART, I2C (default address 0x80), and I/O interfaces, including an external trigger mode for synchronising data capture with cameras and microcontrollers.

Important power wiring polarity
Please note that the included wiring harness uses non-standard colour coding where the red wire connects to GND and the black wire connects to VCC. The sensor operates from a 4.3V to 5.2V power supply with a low 250mW power consumption.
Robust multi-discipline deployment
Rated for operating temperatures from -10°C to 60°C, the sensor suits diverse roles such as automated toll gates, parking detection, and conveyor tracking. The package includes one 50m TOF laser ranging sensor and two connection cables.
