500mm Stepper Motor Linear Actuator, 700N, 12–24V

This 500mm stepper motor linear actuator provides precise positioning and push-pull motion with up to 700N of force. Driven by an integrated 2-phase stepper motor and housed in durable aluminium, it reaches travel speeds up to 8mm/s. It is ideal for makers, engineering students, and educators building automated machinery and custom robotics.

Precise linear motion

Featuring a 2-phase stepper motor with a 1.8-degree step angle, this actuator delivers repeatable and accurate travel across a 500mm stroke length. It can handle pushing and pulling loads of up to 700N at speeds of up to 8mm/s under no load.

Robust construction

Built with an aluminium outer tube and stroke rod, the actuator offers an IP43 protection rating and a 10% duty cycle. The unit measures 605mm when fully retracted, extending to a total length of 1105mm at full stroke, and weighs 1.47kg.

Driver and power requirements

The actuator requires an external stepper driver to operate, with the M542 stepper motor driver recommended. The driver runs on a 12VDC to 24VDC power supply to correctly power the 2.8V, 1.68A motor coils.
