Description
This 5-inch 800×480 IPS capacitive touchscreen connects directly to your single-board computer via the Raspberry Pi DSI interface for simple plug-and-play operation. Featuring optical bonding and a high-brightness panel, it is well suited for makers, students, and developers building interactive dashboards, IoT gateways, and portable projects.
Optically bonded IPS panel
The 5-inch IPS display uses full lamination technology to deliver wide viewing angles, high colour reproduction, and resistance to internal dust. It provides an 800×480 resolution, a 1200:1 contrast ratio, and 16.7 million colours for crisp visual output.
Raspberry Pi 5 installation
A supplied 300mm DSI ribbon cable allows direct connection to the Raspberry Pi 5 display port. The board mounts securely to the rear of the display assembly using standard M2.5 fixings to form a self-contained unit.
Raspberry Pi 4B and 3B support
The panel is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, and 3B single-board computers using the included 50mm FFC cable. It draws its 3.3V operating voltage directly from the DSI bus, eliminating the need for an external display power supply.
Anti-glare high brightness surface
With a high luminance rating of 550 cd/m², the screen remains clearly legible across challenging ambient light environments. The glass surface features anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coatings to reduce reflections and resist smudging.
Responsive multi-point capacitive touch
Integrated 5-point capacitive touch technology delivers responsive input with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 30ms response time. It provides a fluid interface for home automation controllers, local server displays, and interactive embedded systems.
Complete mounting and cable kit
The unit features integrated mounting hole dimensions of 113mm by 68mm alongside dedicated 58mm by 49mm Pi mounting points. Each pack includes the display, two DSI ribbon cables, and eight M2.5 installation screws.
