The 20W Adjustable DC-DC Buck Converter with Digital Display is an LM2596-based step-down module designed for stepping down DC voltages cleanly and reliably. It features an onboard voltmeter, making it an ideal power regulation tool for makers, robotics students, and hobbyists building custom bench supplies or vehicle electronics.

Integrated digital voltmeter

The onboard display shows real-time input or output voltage readings with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.05V, eliminating the need to measure with a multimeter. A dedicated push-button switches between input and output monitoring, indicated by onboard LEDs, and holding the button for two seconds turns the display off.

Wide step-down regulation range

Accepting an input voltage from 4.0V to 40V, the converter supplies an adjustable output from 1.25V down to 37V. The input voltage must remain at least 1.5V higher than the desired output, which is tuned using the onboard blue potentiometer screw.

Reliable power delivery and efficiency

The module delivers up to 20W of continuous power with a maximum current of 3A and an average conversion efficiency of 88 percent. Operating within 2.0A or 15W is recommended for continuous use, while higher currents and loads require an external heatsink.

Built-in circuit protection

To safeguard connected hardware, the board includes short-circuit protection alongside reverse-connection protection that limits reverse current to under 1A.

Solder-free screw terminals

Equipped with onboard screw terminal blocks, the module allows quick wiring without requiring soldering. The compact board measures 6.6 by 3.6 by 1.2 cm with a mounting pattern of 6.1 by 3.1 cm and weighs only 22g.
