Description
This 12V 16-channel relay module is a versatile switching solution designed to control high-power electrical components from low-power microcontrollers. Ideal for South African makers, students, and automation hobbyists, it allows safe interfacing with AC or DC loads. It is fully compatible with Arduino, ARM, PIC, and AVR development boards.
Safe optocoupler isolation
The module features built-in optocoupler protection to isolate your microcontroller from high-voltage lines. This prevents electrical noise and spikes from damaging your sensitive control circuitry.

High-capacity load switching
Each of the 16 channels can connect to a 240V AC or 28V DC power supply, with a contact switch current rating of 250V and a 10A contact load. This allows you to control a wide variety of mains-powered appliances and heavy DC loads.

Flexible microcontroller drive
This board operates with a 5V drive voltage, making it directly compatible with standard digital I/O pins. It supports a nominal supply voltage of 7V to 30V with a rated current of 1.5A, requiring an external power converter.

Wide range of applications
This relay plate is ideal for remote control, telemetry, communication, automatic control, and mechatronics. It is also well-suited for anti-theft systems, alarms, motorised toys, and smart construction projects.
