0.5" Circular Force Sensor (100g-10kg)

The 0.5" Circular Force Sensor is a compact, thin-film force-sensitive resistor designed to measure applied mechanical force between 100g and 10kg. It converts physical touch, squeezing, or weight into dynamic changes in electrical resistance, making it ideal for students, makers, and engineers building interactive electronics and robotics projects.

Proportional analog pressure detection

Featuring a conductive polymer layer, this sensor offers a resistance greater than 1MΩ when unloaded, which gradually decreases as pressure is applied. This continuous resistance response allows microcontrollers to measure varying levels of force across a 100g to 10kg range rather than just binary on/off states.

Breadboard-ready terminal connection

The sensor is equipped with two conductive pins spaced at a standard 0.1-inch pitch for direct insertion into solderless breadboards. This two-terminal layout easily integrates into standard voltage divider circuits for quick prototyping and analog data acquisition.

Peel-and-stick surface mounting

An integrated rubber adhesive layer on the reverse side allows the sensor to be stuck directly onto flat surfaces or embedded into mechanical enclosures. Measuring 2.375 inches in overall length and 0.75 inches in width, its thin and flexible construction easily fits into compact assemblies.

Interactive robotics and wearable uses

This sensing pad is suitable for robotic gripper feedback, squeeze-activated controllers, wearable electronics, and tactile human-machine interfaces. It provides a reliable method to monitor force distribution without the bulk of heavy load cells.
