Description
The WI07C is a compact WiFi module powered by the Espressif ESP8266EX chip, offering an upgraded alternative to the standard ESP-01. It enables serial-to-wireless communication using standard AT commands, making it an accessible solution for students, makers, and hobbyists adding wireless connectivity to their electronics projects.
Core processing and memory
Built around the ESP8266EX IC, this module features 1MB (8Mbit) of onboard flash memory. It incorporates an internal lwIP interface and comes preloaded with AT command firmware for straightforward serial control.
Flexible networking modes
The module supports Access Point (AP), Station (STA), and combined AP+STA operating modes. This flexibility allows it to connect directly to existing wireless networks or host its own local access point.
Pinout and hardware interface
Communication is handled via a primary four-pin serial interface comprising 3.3V VCC, GND, TXD, and RXD. In addition to the primary UART lines, two extra GPIO pins are accessible for external connections.
