ESP32-CAM WiFi and Bluetooth Board with 2MP OV2640 Camera

The ESP32-CAM is a compact dual-mode Wi-Fi and Bluetooth development board supplied with an original 2MP OV2640 camera module. Powered by a dual-core 32-bit CPU running up to 240MHz, it acts as a standalone wireless vision and processing unit. It is ideally suited for students, hobbyists, and educators building smart IoT, wireless monitoring, and image recognition projects.

Dual-core processing and wireless networking

Driven by an ESP32 dual-core 32-bit LX6 processor operating between 80MHz and 240MHz, the board delivers up to 600 DMIPS of computing power. It integrates standard Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2 BR/EDR and BLE connectivity, operating in master or slave configurations with PCB on-board antennas.

Camera and memory features

The module includes an original 2MP OV2640 camera module and built-in flash, with onboard support for Wi-Fi image uploads and TF card storage. It contains 520 KB of internal SRAM alongside 8MB of external PSRAM to reliably handle imaging tasks.

Peripheral interfaces and firmware support

A broad set of hardware interfaces is supported, including UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, ADC, and DAC. The board runs embedded FreeRTOS and Lwip, offering STA, AP, and STA+AP modes, Smart Config/AirKiss network pairing, multiple sleep states, and serial or FOTA firmware upgrades.
