Description
The Keyestudio IR Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module is a highly precise, light-adaptable sensor designed specifically for wheeled robots. It is an ideal choice for students, educators, and hobbyists building autonomous Arduino or BS2 microcontroller projects that need to navigate around obstacles.
Smart obstacle detection for wheeled robots
This module uses an infrared transmitting and receiving tube pair to detect obstacles in its path. When the emitted light reflects off an object, the receiver triggers an onboard indicator LED and outputs a digital signal.

Adjustable detection range
Easily tune the sensor's effective detection distance between 2cm and 40cm using the onboard multi-circle potentiometer. This allows you to calibrate the obstacle avoidance threshold to suit your robot's speed and environment.

Stable performance and wide compatibility
Operating on a wide voltage range of DC 3.3V to 5V, the sensor remains stable even during power supply fluctuations. It integrates seamlessly with Arduino, BS2, and other common microcontrollers.

Four-wire interface and electrical specifications
The module features a 4-wire interface (-/+/S/EN) and outputs a standard TTL voltage signal. It operates at an effective detection angle of 35 degrees, drawing a working current of 20mA or more.
