Description
The Keyestudio 4WD Mecanum Robot Car is an open-source DIY learning kit designed to introduce students, educators, and hobbyists to programming, electronics, and mechanics. Powered by an Arduino-compatible UNO PLUS control board, this versatile kit features omnidirectional Mecanum wheels for advanced movement. It is perfect for South African makers looking for a hands-on, soldering-free entry into robotics and C-language coding.
Omnidirectional Mecanum wheel movement
Equipped with four Mecanum wheels, this robot car achieves 360-degree omnidirectional movement and precise universal wheel control. The four-wheel-drive system allows the chassis to move sideways, diagonally, and spin on the spot with ease.

Integrated driver board and simple assembly
The bottom plate integrates the motor drive, RGB2812, and 7-colour LEDs, completely eliminating the need for complex soldering. Sockets utilise 2.54mm anti-plug terminals to ensure quick, error-free wiring during assembly.

Smart obstacle avoidance and tracking
The kit includes an ultrasonic module, a servo, and a line-tracking sensor to enable smart autonomous behaviours. You can program the car to follow objects, avoid obstacles, or accurately track black lines on the floor.

Rich wireless and remote control
Control your robot wirelessly using the included infrared remote control or via Bluetooth. These control methods make it easy to interact with your build in real time once assembly is complete.

High extensibility for custom modules
The UNO PLUS control board preserves IIC, UART, SPI, and ESP8266 WiFi interfaces for future upgrades. This allows you to easily connect extra sensors, a matrix keyboard, or wireless communication modules to expand your robot's capabilities.

Structured 12-course programming curriculum
Learn C-language programming step-by-step with 12 included projects that range from basic sensor readings to complex control logic. All necessary libraries, sample codes, and tutorials are available online under the KS0560 reference.
