Description
The Embest SABRE Lite Development Kit is a compact evaluation platform powered by the Freescale i.MX6 Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A9 processor running up to 1 GHz. Designed for rapid multimedia and embedded systems development, it features rich audio, video, storage, and networking interfaces. It is ideal for advanced hobbyists, engineering students, and developers working on Linux or Android applications.
High-performance multimedia processing
Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 1 MB L2 cache and 1 GB DDR3 RAM, the board provides multi-stream HD video decoding at 1080p60 and encoding at 1080p30. It incorporates dedicated 3D and 2D graphics acceleration engines to drive responsive graphical user interfaces.
Extensive peripheral and display connectivity
The board features dual camera inputs, 3.5 mm audio I/O, and three display outputs supporting HDMI, LVDS, and parallel RGB. High-speed connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, SATA II 3.0 Gbps, PCIe x1, CAN bus, and three USB 2.0 ports.
Ready-to-run software support
The kit is a ready-to-run development platform with driver support for Linux 3.0.15 and Android 4.0.4. It comes with a preloaded TimeSys image on an SD card for quick evaluation.
