These mounts have blind tapped holes on the posts so they can fasten to a flat surface from the bottom. Use these to attach other structural components - hold a motor on pattern or house a bearing for a rotating assembly.This pattern mount fastens to structure with the threaded posts and positions the pattern 24mm from the mounting surface. The 24mm bottom-to-center distance is crucial as it allows other structural components to properly align as well as provides the proper distance for gears to mesh and drive a rotating assembly. These mounts can be used as a simple connection point while building a chassis but are also an excellent choice for holding a bearing, hub, lead-screw nut, or tube off of the mating surface you’re building on.
