TM1638 8-Digit LED Display and Keypad Module

This TM1638 module combines an eight-digit seven-segment LED display, eight status LEDs, and eight input keys on a single board. Powered by the onboard TM1638 controller chip, it offloads key and display scanning while requiring only three microcontroller I/O pins. It is well suited for students, makers, and hobbyists building compact control panels and user interfaces.

Integrated user interface

The module brings together eight common-cathode digital tubes, eight indicator LEDs, and eight sensitive push keys. It consolidates multiple common peripheral circuits into a compact design to streamline project assembly.

Efficient microcontroller operation

Using an onboard TM1638 driver, the module handles display multiplexing and keypad scanning independently. The host microcontroller only reads and writes relevant registers over three I/O lines, conserving vital MCU processing resources.

The board measures approximately 75 mm by 48 mm and operates across a DC voltage range of 7.0 V to 13.6 V with a rated voltage of 12 V DC. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -10 °C to 70 °C.
