Description
The TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor Module is a visible light intensity sensor designed to mimic the human eye's response to ambient lighting. It provides accurate light level readings while filtering out infrared spectra, making it ideal for student robotics projects, maker experiments and classroom light-sensing demonstrations.
Human eye spectral response
This module features a peak sensitivity wavelength of 570 nm, providing a response closely aligned with the visible spectrum. It naturally suppresses infrared (IR) light to deliver realistic ambient light measurements.
Wide detection angle
The sensor provides a wide half-angle sensitivity of plus or minus 60 degrees, allowing it to capture illumination across a broad field of view.
Light intensity sensing applications
It is suited for monitoring environment illumination, intelligent lighting control setups, and simulation projects requiring realistic visible light measurement.
