Description
The Pro Micro is a compact, Arduino-compatible development board powered by the ATmega32U4 microcontroller running at 5V and 16MHz. With its integrated USB transceiver, it connects and programs directly via micro-USB without requiring an external USB interface. It is an ideal space-saving board for students, makers, and hobbyists creating portable electronics projects.
Native USB and processing
Powered by an ATmega32U4 running at 5V and 16MHz, the board provides direct USB communication through an on-board micro-USB connector. It is supported out of the box in the Arduino IDE version 1.0.1 and upwards.
Input and output peripherals
The module provides 12 digital I/O pins, 5 of which are PWM capable, along with 4 channels of 10-bit ADC. Dedicated hardware serial Rx and Tx connections are also integrated for peripheral communication.
Power requirements and regulation
An integrated regulator allows input power via the RAW pin up to an absolute maximum of 12VDC, with a recommended maximum of 9VDC. The VCC pin provides a regulated 5V output and must never be supplied directly with 12V.
