Versatile data acquisition chip

Integrated onboard sensors

For quick prototyping, the board includes an integrated thermistor for temperature measurement and a photoresistor for light level detection. These can be individually enabled or disabled using the included red shorting jumpers.

Adjustable voltage input

A built-in blue potentiometer provides an adjustable 0-5V voltage source directly on the board. This allows you to test analogue-to-digital conversion code instantly without connecting external voltage sources.

Expandable hardware addressing

With three hardware address pins, you can configure unique addresses for up to eight PCF8591 devices on a single I2C bus. This enables extensive multi-channel setups without requiring extra microcontroller pins.

Visual status indicators

The module features an onboard power indicator LED and a dedicated DA output indicator LED. The brightness of the DA indicator varies dynamically with the output voltage level, giving you immediate visual feedback.
