Description
This Micro SD card breakout module allows microcontrollers to easily read and write data over a standard SPI interface. Featuring an onboard 3.3V regulator and logic level conversion, it operates seamlessly with both 3.3V and 5V microcontroller systems. It is well suited for student science kits, data logging builds, and educational robotics projects.
Dual-voltage compatibility
The module integrates an onboard 3.3V LDO regulator and level conversion circuit, allowing direct connection to 3.3V and 5V logic interfaces. It accepts a power supply between 4.5V and 5.5V.
Card support and interface
Communication is handled via a standard 6-pin SPI interface with GND, VCC, MISO, MOSI, SCK, and CS connections. It supports standard Micro SD cards up to 2GB and high-speed Micro SDHC cards up to 32GB.
Mechanical design
The board features four M2 screw positioning holes for secure mounting inside enclosures and robotics chassis. A spring-loaded card socket ensures quick and reliable card insertion and removal.
