Description
The LCD4884 Shield provides a 48x48 graphic display interface alongside an integrated 5-DOF joystick for Arduino boards. It is designed to display text, characters and images while offering built-in user navigation. This compact expansion shield is ideal for students, hobbyists and makers developing interactive projects.
Visual display and interface
This shield features a 48x48 graphical LCD capable of displaying English text, Chinese characters and custom images. It communicates via a SPI interface using Arduino digital pins 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and includes backlight control via digital pin 7.
Integrated navigation and controls
A built-in 5-DOF joystick connected to Arduino analog pin 0 allows for multi-directional menu navigation and user input. The board also incorporates a dedicated reset button for easy microcontroller resetting.
Extended input and output
The shield provides 6 digital IO lines and 5 analog IO connections to support additional sensors and peripherals. It is compatible with Arduino Duemilanove, UNO, MEGA2560 and MEGA1280 development boards.
