Description

The Keyestudio Voltage Detection Module is a practical sensor designed to measure DC voltages beyond the standard 5V limit of microcontroller analogue pins. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building battery-powered robots, interactive media projects, or custom power monitors.

Resistive voltage divider design

This module uses a 5:1 resistive voltage divider to step down input voltages, allowing your microcontroller to safely read levels that would otherwise exceed its analogue input limits. It scales the input voltage down by a factor of five, making it compatible with standard analogue pins.

Resistive voltage divider design

Wide voltage measurement range

When used with a 5V system like the Arduino Uno, the module can measure DC voltages up to 25V. For 3.3V systems, it safely measures input voltages up to 16.5V.

Wide voltage measurement range

High resolution voltage sensing

Utilising a 10-bit analogue-to-digital converter, the module achieves an analogue resolution of 0.00489V on 5V systems. This allows for a minimum detectable input voltage of 0.02445V.

High resolution voltage sensing

Battery monitoring and displays

Easily monitor battery levels for mobile robots or interactive media installations. You can also pair this sensor with an I2C LCD1602 display to build a standalone digital voltage monitor.

Battery monitoring and displays

Easy expansion board connection

The module features a simple 3-pin interface that connects directly to sensor expansion shields. This makes wiring straightforward and reduces clutter in your electronics projects.

Easy expansion board connection

Analogue signal output

Operating within a range of 0V to 25V DC, the sensor outputs a clean analogue signal. This ensures direct compatibility with the analogue read pins on your development board.
