Getting started is simple; you can power the board directly from a computer using the included USB cable. Alternatively, the onboard power jack allows you to run your projects independently using an AC-to-DC adapter or a battery.

The board features 14 digital input/output pins, six of which can be used as PWM outputs for controlling motors or dimming LEDs. It also includes six analog inputs to read data from various sensors.

Instead of using a standard FTDI driver chip, this board features an Atmega16U2 chip programmed as a USB-to-serial converter. This ensures reliable communication and easy driver setup on your computer.

Enhanced layout and shield compatibility

The 1.0 pinout includes dedicated SDA and SCL pins near the AREF pin, along with an IOREF pin near the reset button. This allows connected shields to automatically adapt to the board's 5V operating voltage.

Stronger reset circuit design

An improved reset circuit design ensures more stable performance and reliable rebooting during development. A physical reset button is conveniently located on the board for manual resets.

Technical specifications and memory

Powered by a 16 MHz clock, the board contains 32 KB of flash memory, 2 KB of SRAM, and 1 KB of EEPROM. Each digital I/O pin provides a DC current of 20 mA, with a dedicated 50 mA supply for 3.3V components.
