The Keyestudio SR01 is an affordable ultrasonic distance sensor designed to detect obstacles and measure ranges for your robotics projects. Built around the CS100A chip, this highly compatible module is perfect for students, makers, and educators looking to add reliable spatial awareness to Arduino-based builds.
Dual-voltage CS100A chip integration
Powered by the CS100A chip, this module supports both 3.3V and 5V operating voltages. This dual-voltage compatibility makes it easy to interface directly with a wide range of microcontrollers, including standard Arduino boards, without needing external level shifters.

Reliable three-metre detection range
The sensor measures distances from under 4 centimetres up to a maximum range of 3 metres. This minimal blind area ensures your mobile robots can detect obstacles that are extremely close before making navigational adjustments.

Bat-inspired acoustic distance measurement
Operating at a frequency of 40KHz, the module emits high-frequency sound waves that are completely silent to the human ear. It calculates the precise distance to an object by measuring the time difference between sending the signal and receiving the echo.

Low power and precise triggering
The module operates with a working current between 50mA and 100mA, consuming a maximum power of just 0.5W. It requires a short 10-microsecond TTL pulse as a trigger input signal to initiate a measurement.

Compact form factor and easy mounting
Measuring 49mm by 22mm by 19mm, the compact board easily fits into tight chassis designs. It features integrated 3mm diameter positioning holes for secure mechanical mounting to your robot or project enclosure.

Standard four-pin interface
The module features a standard 4-pin port with a 2.54mm pitch spacing, making it fully compatible with standard breadboards and jumper wires. This ensures quick, solderless prototyping and clean wiring setups.
