Reliable thermal motion detection

The module uses pyroelectric infrared technology to detect the infrared energy emitted by moving people or animals. When motion is detected, it outputs a switching signal to trigger your connected microcontroller.

Wide coverage area

This compact sensor offers a detection range of up to 7 metres and a wide 100-degree detection angle. It is highly suitable for automated security, smart home, and interactive STEAM projects.

Solderless EASY plug system

Featuring an RJ11 EASY plug connector, this module connects directly to an EASY plug control board. This solder-free interface prevents wiring mistakes, making it perfect for classroom environments and quick prototyping.

Onboard visual feedback

An integrated LED lights up whenever the sensor outputs a high signal, allowing for easy troubleshooting. Once motion ceases, the output signal remains high for approximately 2.3 to 3 seconds before returning to low.

Low-power electrical specifications

The module operates on an input voltage of 3.3V to 5V with an ultra-low working current of 15uA. It functions reliably in temperatures ranging from -20 to 85 degrees Celsius and weighs only 5.6 grams.
