Description
The Keyestudio Reed Switch Sensor Magnetron Module is a magnetic proximity sensor designed for Arduino-based projects. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers looking to implement non-contact switching in their builds. This compact module is perfect for projects ranging from simple door alarms to rotational speed counters.
Hermetically sealed reed switch
The sensor contains two soft magnetic reeds encapsulated in a glass tube filled with inert gas to prevent degradation. The contacts automatically disconnect when no magnetic field is present, ensuring reliable operation.

Practical real-world applications
This module is widely used for counting, limit detection, and security systems such as door alarms. It can also be paired with a wheel-mounted magnet to create a digital bicycle speedometer.

High-risk environment compatibility
Because the contacts are sealed in a vacuum or inert gas, this sensor is suitable for use in demanding and high-risk environments. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -10 to +50 degrees Celsius.

Simple three-pin interface
The module features a standard three-wire interface with negative, positive, and signal pins for easy connection. It operates on a DC voltage of 3.3V to 5V with a working current of 20mA or higher, detecting magnetic fields at distances of 10mm or less.
