Description

The Keyestudio PCF8591 A/D Adapter Module is a compact expansion board designed to add analog input and output capabilities to your Raspberry Pi 4B. Since the Raspberry Pi lacks native analog pins, this module is perfect for students, educators, and hobbyists who need to interface with analog sensors. It provides an easy way to bridge the gap between digital processing and the physical world.

Bridging the analog gap

Because the Raspberry Pi lacks native analog pins, this adapter uses the PCF8591 chip to convert digital values to analog and vice versa. This allows you to easily connect and read analog sensors in your coding and robotics projects.

Bridging the analog gap

Simple dual wire communication

The module communicates using a standard I2C interface, transmitting address, control, and data signals over just two wires. This keeps your wiring clean and leaves other Raspberry Pi GPIO pins free for your project.

Versatile input and output options

The board features four analog input ports and one analog output port for versatile interfacing. Two onboard indicators are directly controlled by the analog output values, providing immediate visual feedback during testing.

Solderable analog output port

For advanced makers, there is a dedicated pad hole marked PCF8591 on the silk screen which serves as the Aout port. You can solder pins directly to this port to link the module with external circuits.
