The Keyestudio MQ-7 Carbon Monoxide Gas Sensor Module is an affordable, highly sensitive detection solution designed for Arduino-based projects. Ideal for students, makers, and hobbyists building environmental monitoring systems or safety devices, this module makes it easy to measure CO levels in the air.

The sensor utilises tin dioxide (SnO2) as its gas-sensitive material, which exhibits low electrical conductivity in clean air. When carbon monoxide is present, the conductivity increases in proportion to the gas concentration, allowing for highly sensitive CO detection.

Cyclical temperature operation

To ensure accurate readings, the sensor operates through high-low temperature cycles. It detects carbon monoxide at a low temperature heated by 1.5V, while switching to a higher heating voltage of 5.0V to clean the sensor.

This module is capable of detecting carbon monoxide concentrations ranging from 300ppm up to 10000ppm. This wide detection range makes it highly suitable for a variety of domestic and industrial safety applications.

Adjustable load resistance
