The KEYESTUDIO Micro bit Prototyping Shield V1 is an expansion board designed to simplify circuit building and prototyping with the BBC micro:bit. The shield combines a versatile soldering area with a compact, removable breadboard for flexible project design.

The shield features an on-board AMS1117 voltage regulator chip, allowing you to power your BBC micro:bit safely using an external DC input of 4.75V to 12V.

Dual-sided female headers

This breakout board extends all the pins and power rails of the micro:bit to female headers on both sides, simplifying the process of connecting external components.

Double-sided PCB expansion area

The expansion area uses double-sided through-hole connections, allowing you to solder components on both the front and back. Patch pads are provided on the back for neat IO line connections.

Included 170-point breadboard

A separate 170-point breadboard with a standard 2.54mm pin spacing is included in the package. It can be mounted directly to the middle of the shield using the supplied double-sided adhesive for solderless prototyping.
