Description

The Keyestudio Micro bit Expansion Shield Board is a versatile breakout board designed to expand the physical connection capabilities of your BBC micro:bit. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers looking to connect external sensors, actuators, and power supplies to their micro:bit projects. This board simplifies wiring and power management for complex robotics and coding builds.

Versatile micro:bit programming support

The BBC micro:bit is a fully programmable computer that supports Microsoft's PXT graphical programming interface. It operates seamlessly across Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android without requiring any additional compiler downloads.

Versatile micro:bit programming support

Dual voltage I2C communication

The expansion board features two groups of 4-pin headers dedicated to I2C communication. These headers support both 3.3V and 5V power supplies, allowing you to connect a wide range of external sensors.

Dual voltage I2C communication

Dedicated general purpose IO pins

Two additional sets of 4-pin headers are extended for pins P12 and P13. Like the I2C pins, these also provide both 3.3V and 5V power supply options for your external components.

Dedicated general purpose IO pins

Flexible external power input

To run power-hungry components, the board accepts an external input voltage ranging from DC 6V to 12V. This external power is delivered via a secure PH2.0-2P interface.

Flexible external power input

Integrated power control switch

The shield is equipped with an onboard DIP switch to control the power supply. This allows you to easily turn your projects on and off without constantly unplugging cables.

Integrated power control switch

Standard pitch header pins

The board uses standard 2.54mm pitch pin headers for all its wiring ports. This ensures compatibility with standard jumper wires and breadboard-friendly prototyping accessories.
