Description

The Keyestudio KEYBOT Programmable Education Robot Control Board is an all-in-one solution designed specifically for building and controlling two-wheel robotic cars. Combining an Arduino-compatible UNO R3 and a dual motor driver on a single board, it is perfect for South African students, educators, and hobbyists looking to simplify their robotics projects. With plug-and-play RJ11 connections, setting up sensors and actuators is quick, reliable, and solder-free.

Integrated dual-motor control

The board combines an ATMEGA328P-AU microcontroller and a TB6612FNG motor driver on a single PCB, allowing you to directly drive two DC motors. It delivers a motor drive current of 1.2A average and up to 3.2A peak, making it ideal for mobile robot chassis.

Integrated dual-motor control

Solderless RJ11 sensor ports

To make classroom setup and prototyping hassle-free, the board breaks out digital and analog pins into eight RJ11 telephone-style sockets. This allows students to connect compatible sensors and modules using a single plug-and-play cable.

Bluetooth and servo expansion

An onboard dedicated header supports the HC-06 Bluetooth module with a fixed-direction slot to prevent reverse connection. Additionally, two dedicated 3-pin servo interfaces controlled by pins D9 and D10 let you easily add steering or robotic arms.

Dual physical slide switches

The board features two onboard slide switches for convenient physical control. The larger switch manages the external DC 7-12V power supply, while the smaller switch toggles the serial port communication for the Bluetooth module.

Onboard passive buzzer

A built-in passive buzzer connected to digital pin D13 provides immediate audio feedback for your programmes. This is perfect for teaching students how to code simple melodies or system status alerts.

Power and motor interfaces

The board accepts a wide input voltage range of DC 7-12V through a dedicated power jack. Two terminal blocks, labeled MA and MB, provide secure screw-terminal connections for your DC motors.

Robust technical specifications

Powered by the ATMEGA328P-AU main chip and an ATMEGA16U2-MU USB-to-serial chip, this board is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE. It features a standby current of 47mA and maps motor directions to pins D4 and D7, with speed controlled via PWM on pins D5 and D6.
