Description
The Keyestudio CNC Shield V2 is a versatile driver expansion board designed for 3D printers and engraving machines. It offers an efficient and compact solution for students, educators, and makers looking to control stepper motors using an Arduino.
Three-channel stepper motor control
The shield features three channel slots for stepper motor driver modules to drive up to three stepper motors. Each stepper motor channel requires only two IO ports, meaning just six IO ports are needed to manage all three motors.

GRBL firmware compatibility
This board is compatible with GRBL 0.8c, an open-source firmware that runs on an Arduino Uno to translate G-code commands into stepper signals. This makes it straightforward to set up and control your DIY CNC projects.

Three-axis support with end stops
The shield supports three-axis control across the X, Y, and Z axes. It also includes connections for two end stops per axis, providing a total of six end stops to prevent over-travel in your machine setup.

Removable stepper driver slots
Designed to use removable A4988-compatible stepper drivers, such as the A4988 or DRV8825. This modular design allows you to easily install, configure, or replace drivers as needed.

Adjustable micro-stepping control
Onboard jumpers allow you to set the micro-stepping for your stepper drivers. When using compatible drivers like the DRV8825, you can achieve up to 1/32 micro-stepping for smoother and more precise motion.

Spindle and coolant control
The shield includes dedicated control pins for spindle enable and direction, as well as coolant enable, allowing you to manage these auxiliary functions directly from your CNC software.

Flexible power and connections
The board operates on 12-36V DC, though you must match the voltage to your specific drivers as only the DRV8825 can handle up to 36V. Stepper motors can be connected using 4-pin Molex connectors or soldered directly in place.
