Description

This Keyestudio CNC kit features a CNC Shield V3.0, an Uno R3-compatible board, and four DRV8825 stepper motor drivers to jumpstart your DIY engraving and CNC projects. It is ideal for students, makers, and hobbyists looking to build their own compact 3D printers, laser cutters, or milling machines using open-source GRBL control.

Efficient stepper motor control

The CNC Shield V3.0 features four slots for stepper motor drivers, allowing you to control up to four motors. Because each channel requires only two IO ports, a total of six IO ports is sufficient to manage three stepper motors.

Efficient stepper motor control

Versatile four-axis support

This shield supports X, Y, and Z axes, plus a configurable fourth A-axis that can either duplicate one of the other axes or run as a full fourth axis using custom firmware on pins D12 and D13. It is fully compatible with GRBL 0.8c open-source firmware for converting G-code to stepper signals.

Versatile four-axis support

Flexible voltage and micro-stepping

The board runs on a 12-36V DC input, making it highly adaptable to different power supplies. Using the included DRV8825 drivers, which can handle up to 36V, you can configure micro-stepping up to 1/32 using on-board jumpers.

Flexible voltage and micro-stepping

End stops and auxiliary controls

The shield provides two end stops for each of the three main axes, totalling six end-stop connections. It also includes dedicated control pins for spindle enable, spindle direction, and coolant control.

Secure motor connections

Stepper motors can be easily connected to the board using standard 4-pin Molex connectors. Alternatively, you can solder the motor wires directly to the board for a permanent, high-vibration installation.
