Description
The Keyestudio Acrylic Smart Solar Tracker System is an educational DIY kit designed for students, educators, and hobbyists to explore renewable energy and robotics. Built on the Arduino platform, this hands-on kit tracks light sources automatically while teaching fundamental concepts in electronics, mechanics, and coding. It is an ideal STEM project for young makers wanting to build their own solar-powered charging station.
Dual-axis light tracking
The system uses four ambient light sensors and a two-degrees-of-freedom servo setup to automatically track light sources. This ensures the solar panel is constantly positioned to optimise light capture.

Solar power generation
The kit converts light energy into electrical energy using an integrated solar panel and charging module. It can be used as a practical DIY mobile phone charger, demonstrating real-world applications of green technology.

Easy solderless assembly
Designed with acrylic boards, copper pillars, and Lego-compatible jacks, the kit can be assembled and dismantled without any soldering, screws, or nuts. Sensors and modules simply plug into the structural frame for a hassle-free build.

Integrated environmental sensors
The kit includes a BH1750 light sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor, an LCD1602 display, a buzzer, a push button, and an LED module. These components allow users to monitor environmental conditions in real time.

Arduino C programming
Users can programme the solar tracker in C language using the standard Arduino IDE, with complete codes and libraries provided. This makes it an excellent tool for learning control logic, electronics, and computer science.

Electrical specifications
The system operates on a 5V working voltage with a 3.7V input voltage. It supports a maximum output current of 1.5A and has a maximum power dissipation of 7.5W.

Flexible expansion options
The mainboard preserves IIC, UART, and SPI communication ports alongside Lego-compatible jacks. This allows advanced makers to easily connect additional sensors and modules to expand the system's capabilities.
