The Keyestudio CNC Shield V4 is a compact driving shield designed for DIY engraving machines and 3D printers, fully compatible with the Arduino Nano. Seamless Arduino Nano integration

This shield is designed to be fully compatible with the Arduino Nano control board, allowing you to stack the Nano directly onto the shield. This creates a compact, space-saving footprint for your CNC or 3D printing projects.

Three-channel stepper motor support

The board features three pin slots for stepper motor driver modules to drive X, Y, and Z-axis stepper motors. Each motor requires only two IO ports, meaning you can manage all three channels using just six IO ports.

Adjustable microstepping modes

Three jumper caps are located under each driver slot to easily configure the operating mode of your stepper motor drivers. For example, with an A4988 driver, leaving the jumpers unplugged sets it to full-step mode, while plugging them in enables 16-subdivision working mode.

Standard motor headers and pinouts

The shield comes equipped with three 4-pin headers of 2.54mm pitch to connect standard 42 stepper motors. Default pin mapping assigns step and direction controls to digital pins D2 through D7, with the enable port connected to D8.

External twelve-volt power input

An onboard external DC 12V power jack supplies power to both the Nano control board and the three connected stepper motor drive modules. This ensures stable power delivery for demanding motion control tasks.

Software compatibility and communication ports

This shield supports GrblController361Setup software for straightforward control of your engraving projects. It also breaks out serial and I2C communication interfaces to easily connect external devices and sensors.
