Description

The keyestudio CNC Shield V3 is an easy-to-use expansion board designed for building DIY engraving machines and 3D printers. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers looking to control multiple stepper motors using a compatible UNO R3 microcontroller. This shield simplifies your wiring by providing a neat, stackable interface for your motor drivers.

Seamless UNO R3 integration

This driving shield is fully compatible with the UNO R3 control board and stacks directly on top of it to save space. It manages up to four stepper motors using only eight IO ports, requiring just two IO ports per motor.

Four-channel stepper motor support

The board features four dedicated pin slots to accommodate stepper motor drive modules, which are available separately. This allows you to easily drive four independent channels for precise multi-axis motion control.

Flexible microstepping control

You can configure the step modes of your drive modules using simple jumper caps. For instance, when using an A4988 driver, unplugging the three jumpers selects full-step mode, while plugging them in enables 16-subdivision working mode.

The shield includes three 4-pin headers with a 2.54mm pitch for connecting 42-size stepper motors. A secure blue terminal block allows you to supply DC 12V power directly to the motor drive modules.

Pre-configured hardware pin mapping

The X, Y, and Z physical axes are pre-wired to default digital pins, with step control on D2, D3, and D4, and direction control on D5, D6, and D7. The global enable port for all drive modules is mapped to digital pin D8.

This shield fully supports GrblController361Setup software for streamlined machine control. It also breaks out essential serial and I2C communication ports to make connecting external modules straightforward.
