Description

This Keyestudio 3D printer kit is an all-in-one control solution designed for RepRap 3D printers and DIY makers. Combining an integrated controller board, an LCD smart controller, and high-performance stepper drivers, it provides everything you need to build or upgrade your desktop 3D printer. It is ideal for students, educators, and hobbyists looking to build a reliable, PC-free printing setup.

Integrated MKS Base controller board

The MKS Base 1.2 board combines the functionality of an Arduino Mega 2560 and a RAMPS 1.4 board into a single-board solution. This integration simplifies wiring and improves reliability for your RepRap 3D printer.

PC-free printing with LCD control

The included LCD 2004 Smart Controller features a 20 character by 4 line display, a rotary encoder, and an integrated SD card reader. Using the included smart adaptor, you can run your 3D printer directly from an SD card without needing a dedicated computer connection.

High-performance stepper motor drivers

The kit includes five DRV8825 stepper motor driver carriers, which serve as high-performance drop-in replacements for standard A4988 drivers. These drivers support six microstep resolutions down to 1/32-step for smoother and more precise motor control.

Robust power and thermal protection

Operating between 8.2V and 45V, the DRV8825 drivers feature adjustable current limiting, overcurrent protection, and overtemperature thermal shutdown. Each driver can deliver up to approximately 1.5 A per phase without active cooling, or up to 2.2 A per coil with sufficient additional cooling.

Arduino software and wiki support

This kit is fully compatible with standard Arduino software and firmware configurations. Access online wiki tutorials to guide you through the setup, wiring, and programming of your 3D printer controller.
