The Keyestudio 3D MKS Gen V1.4 Printer Motherboard is an all-in-one controller board designed to simplify and upgrade your Reprap 3D printer setup. Combining an Arduino Mega 2560 and a RAMPS 1.4 interface onto a single high-quality board, it is ideal for makers, hobbyists, and educators building or upgrading their own 3D printers. This board eliminates complex wiring while offering enhanced thermal performance and power stability.
Integrated controller solution
This board combines the functionality of an Arduino Mega 2560 and a RAMPS 1.4 interface onto a single, unified PCB. This integrated design resolves the connection issues and complicated interfaces common with traditional multi-board setups.

Optimised thermal design
Built on a high-quality four-layer PCB, this motherboard features specialised thermal optimisation to manage heat better than standard two-layer RAMPS boards. It also utilises high-quality MOSFET tubes to ensure superior heat dissipation during operation.

Flexible power input options
A dedicated onboard power chip supports 12V to 24V power inputs, preventing the voltage conversion heating issues found on older boards. Operating at 24V reduces the heated bed current to one-quarter of its original value at the same power level, keeping the bed's MOS tube cool.

Broad driver and display support
The board features replaceable motor driver slots that support both A4988 and DRV8825 stepper drivers. It can also connect directly to standard 2004LCD and 12864LCD control boards for easy system monitoring.

Expandable motor drive ports
Dedicated motor pulse and direction output ports are reserved on the board, allowing you to easily connect external high-current motor drivers such as 2A or 5A circuits. This makes the board highly adaptable for larger, more powerful DIY CNC and 3D printing projects.

Standard expansion interfaces
The board retains the original Servos, AUX-1, and AUX-2 interfaces from the RAMPS 1.4 layout. It provides three 5V output interfaces and three 12V output interfaces to power your custom accessories and sensors.

Enhanced stability and firmware compatibility
As an upgrade to the MKS Gen V1.2, this version delivers improved power protection and more stable USB communication. It runs open-source Marlin firmware with the exact same configuration as a standard RAMPS 1.4, making it a direct drop-in replacement.
