Description

The Keyestudio 2560 WIFI PLUS Main Control Board combines an ATmega 2560 and an ESP8266 MCU on a single board, delivering the full functionality of both the Arduino Mega 2560 and ESP8266 platforms. This versatile development board is ideal for students, educators, and makers building Internet of Things (IoT) projects and independent wireless networks.

Dual MCU integration

The board integrates both ATmega 2560 and ESP8266 microcontrollers, combining their capabilities for advanced networking and IoT applications. This allows you to build independent wireless networks or run complex control systems.

Dual MCU integration

Flexible serial port switching

A convenient onboard toggle switch controls the serial port download function, allowing codes for the two MCUs to be burned separately via a single USB interface. This design enables the two development boards to be used independently or combined.

Flexible serial port switching

Serial and external interrupts

The board features four hardware serial ports from Port 0 to Port 3 for versatile communication. It also includes six external interrupt pins, specifically D2, D3, D18, D19, D20, and D21, to handle real-time events efficiently.

Serial and external interrupts

PWM and analog interfaces

It provides extensive input and output options, including PWM interfaces on pins D2-D13 and D44-D46 for precise motor and signal control. For sensor integration, there are 16 analog inputs from A0 to A15.

PWM and analog interfaces

Standard communication protocols

Dedicated hardware pins support SPI communication via D50-D53 and IIC communication through D20 (SDA) and D21 (SCL). An ICSP interface is also available for burning firmware directly to the ATMEGA2560-16AU.

Standard communication protocols

Power and connectivity options

The board accepts a DC input voltage of 6V to 9V through its power interface and provides 3.3V and 5V power outputs for external sensors or common ground processing. Programming and debugging are handled via the onboard USB interface.
