Description

The Kemo Electronic M150 is a DC and pulse converter module designed to interface microcontrollers or PCs with compatible AC power controllers. Connected in place of a standard potentiometer, it enables automated regulation of AC loads via variable DC voltages or PWM signals. It is well suited for makers, students, and hobbyists building automated power and lighting control projects.

Microcontroller interface

The module connects in place of a potentiometer on compatible power modules, allowing digital control from microcomputers or PCs. Regulation is achieved either by adjusting a DC control voltage or by varying the pulse width of a PWM signal.

Galvanic separation

Built-in optocouplers provide galvanic isolation between the low-voltage control inputs and the high-voltage power control module. This protects microcontrollers and sensitive computing equipment from the mains-connected circuitry.

Flexible input options

The board supports multiple DC input voltage ranges including 1 to 5 V, 3 to 12 V, and 6 to 24 V DC. It also accepts 5 V TTL rectangular pulses between 1 and 10 kHz with a 10 to 90 percent duty cycle.

Module compatibility

The M150 is designed to operate with 110 V AC or 230 V AC systems when wired to Kemo M012, M028, or M028N power control modules.
