Kemo Electronic FG015F Ultrasonic Animal Repeller

The Kemo Electronic FG015F is a battery-powered ultrasonic pest and wildlife deterrent designed to drive away martens, rodents, wild boars, and deer. Emitting an aggressive, pulsating 21 kHz tone that is largely inaudible to humans, it offers extensive acoustic coverage for outdoor installations, garden areas, carports, and farmsteads. It is an ideal automated sound deterrence module for makers, agriculturalists, and homeowners seeking non-invasive pest protection.

Ultrasonic sound generation

The module uses a high-power piezoelectric loudspeaker with a lacquered, humidity-proof membrane to output sinusoidal pulses at roughly 21 kHz and over 120 dB sound pressure. Operating in cycles of approximately 0.6 seconds active and 6 seconds rest, it creates an unpleasant environment for nuisance animals over a wide radiation angle of more than 120 degrees.

Power and battery operation

The unit operates on 6 V DC supplied by four R14 (UM2) round cell batteries. With an ultra-low idle consumption of around 0.005 mA and 5 mA during active pulsing, standard batteries can provide up to 8 months of continuous operation depending on quality.

Mounting and outdoor placement

Designed for wall or ceiling mounting using four 3 mm screws, the unit covers up to 600 square metres in open spaces with an acoustic range exceeding 200 metres. For outdoor deployment, the housing must be mounted in areas protected against splash water, such as under canopies, aviaries, or vehicle undercarriages.

Status indication and operation

An integrated LED indicator lights up each time the ultrasonic sound is emitted, allowing quick visual confirmation that the repeller is active and functioning correctly. The robust electronics are tested to operate across a broad temperature range of -15°C to +60°C.
