This 4.5-inch flexible bend sensor detects angular displacement by increasing its electrical resistance as it curves. Working principle

As the sensor physically bends, the resistance across the terminals increases. This resistance change occurs when the metal pads are positioned on the outside of the bend with the text on the inside.
