Description
This 4.5-inch flexible bend sensor detects angular displacement by increasing its electrical resistance as it curves. Designed with standard 0.1-inch breadboard-friendly pin spacing, it connects easily to prototype circuits. It is well suited for learners, makers, and robotics enthusiasts creating wearables, gesture controllers, and motion-tracking devices.
Working principle
As the sensor physically bends, the resistance across the terminals increases. This resistance change occurs when the metal pads are positioned on the outside of the bend with the text on the inside.
Form factor and connectivity
The sensor features a low-profile construction with a thickness of just 0.43mm. Its 0.1-inch pin spacing allows direct insertion into standard breadboards and prototyping sockets.
Suggested applications
