Description
This electronic buzzer breakout board is a compact audio module designed to produce sound alerts and tones in electronics projects. Controlled via an onboard 9012 transistor, it generates sound when supplied with a square wave signal from a microcontroller. It is well suited to students, educators, and makers adding audio indicators or alarms to their builds.
Transistor-driven audio control
The module includes an onboard 9012 transistor to drive the buzzer element. It requires an external square wave frequency between 2 kHz and 5 kHz from a single-chip microcomputer or microcontroller I/O pin to generate tones.
Power and pin interface
Operating at a working voltage of 3.3V to 5V, the breakout board features a straightforward 3-pin interface. The connections consist of VCC (3.3V to 5V), GND (ground), and I/O for the control signal.
Compact layout and mounting
The PCB measures 3.3 cm by 1.3 cm, making it easy to incorporate into small enclosures. It also includes an integrated bolt hole for simple and secure assembly.
