Description
The E18-D80NK is an adjustable infrared obstacle avoidance sensor integrating both a transmitter and receiver in a durable barrel housing. It detects transparent and opaque objects within a 3 cm to 80 cm range and outputs a digital TTL signal. This sensor is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building obstacle-avoiding robots or automated counting systems.
Adjustable detection range
The sensor features an adjustable detection distance from 3 cm to 80 cm with a detection angle greater than 15 degrees. It provides reliable non-contact sensing for both transparent and opaque objects while resisting ambient light interference.
Wiring and interface
Connecting the unit is simple using its 45 cm three-wire lead. The brown wire connects to 4.5 V to 5 V power, the blue wire connects to ground (0 V), and the black wire connects to a microcontroller digital input as an NPN normally open TTL output.
Versatile applications
This module is suited for walking maze robots, automatic production line counting, kitchen automation systems, and general security or reminder equipment.
