Legal for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Eligibility is set by each season's game manual — check the current rules before you compete.
The Beeline Chassis Kit is a 4-motor, 6WD chassis that is ready for you to customize!
Many chassis aim to be agile, but in doing so, sacrifice traction. Others have excellent traction, but suffer when it comes time to make quick maneuvers. The Beeline Chassis nails it in both departments! Given each side is equipped with two 96mm Rhino Wheels, the contact patch with the ground has been maximized so that you don’t get pushed around. The omni wheels at the trailing edge of the chassis, combined with the slightly raised axle locations at each end of the chassis allow it to rotate with greatly increased speed compared to other 6-Wheel drivetrains!
This style of chassis is very simple in terms of operation. The Beeline has four motors; two on the left and two on the right. The left motors will work together and the right motors will work together due to the direct link they have to one-another via the steel gears. If you’re competing in FTC, you’ll be using a REV hub which will require you to plug each motor into a separate channel. If you’re free to choose and have motor controllers at your disposal, a 2 channel motor controller and a couple Y-harnesses will get you up and going.
No need to fumble through your toolbox to find the right tools for assembly - they’re included with the kit to get you up and going quickly. The easy to follow instructions will ensure that even those of you who are fresh to robotics are able to accurately assemble the BeeLine Chassis.
The top of the BeeLine Chassis is primed and ready to start building upon. The channel has a multitude of holes that are easily accessible so that you can fasten intakes, shooting mechanisms, lifts and arms with ease. The channel that traverses from one side to the other can be shifted forward and aft in order to accommodate those additional mechanisms.
