Description
The Bambu Lab P2S is a fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer built for speed and repeatability, and this combo ships it with the AMS 2 Pro — the four-spool Automatic Material System that gives you multi-colour and multi-material printing plus active filament drying. It is the machine we run in our own workshop for the 3D printing service, so the settings, materials and support we quote are the ones we use daily.
Fast, and accurate at speed
A CoreXY motion system moves the toolhead at up to 600 mm/s with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration, while the hardened-steel hotend pushes up to 40 mm³/s. Closed-loop part cooling, hotend and auxiliary fans hold the melt where it should be, so raising the speed does not quietly cost you surface finish.
Four filaments loaded, and dry
The included AMS 2 Pro holds four spools and switches between them automatically — multi-colour models, or a print body in one material with dissolvable support in another. It also dries filament actively, with the spools rotating through the cycle for even results, so PLA and PETG that have been sitting in a South African summer print like new. Chain further AMS units when four colours stop being enough.
Enclosed, filtered, and classroom-friendly
The enclosure holds chamber heat for ABS, ASA and PC, and an activated carbon filter of granulated coconut shell handles both VOCs and particulates — worth having when the printer lives in a classroom or an office rather than a workshop. A built-in 1080p camera, door sensor, filament run-out and tangle detection and power-loss recovery mean an unattended overnight print is a reasonable thing to start.
Set up in an afternoon
The P2S arrives pre-assembled and self-calibrating: automatic bed levelling and resonance compensation run themselves, and the 5-inch touchscreen, the Bambu Handy app or Bambu Studio on Windows, macOS or Linux will all drive it. Third-party slicers that export standard G-code (PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, Cura) work too, though some of the machine's smarter features are Bambu Studio only.
In the box
Bambu Lab P2S printer, AMS 2 Pro (combo version), filament buffer, textured PEI build plate, spool holder and accessory box. Filament is sold separately.
