Description
The Arduino Compatible Mega 2560 R3 is an expansive microcontroller development board powered by the ATmega2560 chip and featuring an ATmega16U2 USB interface. Providing 54 digital input/output pins and 16 analogue inputs, it delivers extensive connectivity and memory for demanding builds. It is well suited to students, makers, and educators working on advanced robotics and automation projects.
High-capacity processing and memory
Built around the ATmega2560 running at 16 MHz, the board includes 256 KB of flash memory, 8 KB of SRAM, and 4 KB of EEPROM. This expansive capacity readily accommodates larger sketches and complex program logic.
Extensive input and output connectivity
With 54 digital I/O pins, including 15 hardware PWM channels, plus 16 analogue inputs, the board interfaces with numerous sensors, actuators, and displays simultaneously. Each digital pin supports a DC current of up to 40 mA.
Dedicated ATmega16U2 USB interface
The board features an ATmega16U2 microcontroller for USB-to-serial communication instead of a CH340 interface. This provides reliable serial communication and seamless connectivity with development environments.
Flexible power handling
Operating natively at 5V, the board accepts a recommended input voltage of 7 to 12V, with absolute limits spanning 6 to 20V. It also includes a dedicated 3.3V power pin providing up to 50 mA for lower-voltage peripherals.
