Description
The Leonardo R3 is an ATmega32u4-based development board featuring native USB communication. It can connect directly to a computer as a virtual COM port or emulate standard input devices such as a keyboard and mouse. It is an ideal platform for students, makers, and hobbyists building interactive electronics projects.
Native USB communication
Because the ATmega32u4 microcontroller features built-in USB support, the board eliminates the need for a secondary USB-to-serial processor. This allows it to easily emulate human interface devices like a mouse or keyboard directly over USB.
Flexible input and output options
The board offers 20 digital I/O pins, including 7 PWM channels and 12 analog inputs, giving you ample connectivity for sensors, motors, and peripherals. It also features a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, an ICSP header, a reset button, and a dedicated power jack.
