Description
The Adjustable IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module provides reliable proximity detection across a 2 cm to 40 cm range using infrared reflection. Operating on DC 3.3 V to 5 V with a direct TTL output, it is an accessible solution for students, makers, and hobbyists building autonomous mobile robots.
Adjustable proximity sensing
This module detects objects within a 2 cm to 40 cm range over a 35° effective detection angle. The onboard multi-turn potentiometer allows quick and precise adjustment of the detection threshold.
Straightforward 4-wire interface
The board features a 4-wire connection layout comprising power, ground, enable, and signal pins (-, +, S, EN). It outputs a TTL level signal that pulls low when an obstacle is present and remains high when the path is clear.
Compact and lightweight design
Measuring only 28 mm by 23 mm and weighing 9 g, this sensor is easy to mount on small robot chassis. It operates across temperatures from -10 °C to +50 °C with a working current of 20 mA or greater.
