ACS758 50A AC/DC Hall Effect Current Sensor Module

This ACS758-based Hall effect current sensor module accurately measures bidirectional AC and DC currents up to plus/minus 50 A with galvanic isolation. Operating between 3 V and 5 V, it provides a proportional analogue voltage output centred at half the supply voltage with a sensitivity of 40 mV/A. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building motor monitoring or power management projects.

Key features

The module provides ultra-low power loss with a 100 uOhm internal conductor resistance and robust galvanic isolation for high-side current sensing. An integrated shield reduces capacitive coupling from high dV/dt signals, while proprietary amplifier and filtering techniques ensure low-noise output.

Analogue output behaviour

With a static output voltage at VCC/2, the module scales output linearly at 40 mV/A from IP+ to IP-. This makes it straightforward to read bidirectional current values using standard microcontroller analogue inputs.
