Description
This 5 megapixel OV5647 camera module features a built-in IR-CUT filter that switches between day and night modes to eliminate colour distortion in daylight while enabling clear infrared night vision. Equipped with an adjustable 3.6 mm focal length lens, it delivers sharp 1080p imaging across diverse lighting environments. It is well suited for makers, students, and educators developing Raspberry Pi robotics, computer vision, and monitoring projects.
Day and night imaging
The embedded removable IR-CUT filter switches between normal colour capture during the day and infrared mode at night, eliminating the colour distortion commonly found on standard night vision cameras.
Optical performance
Powered by a 5 MP OV5647 sensor, the camera provides 1080p resolution, an F1.8 aperture, an adjustable 3.6 mm focal length, and a 75.7-degree field of view.
Mounting and power expansion
The 31 mm by 32 mm board features four screw holes for mounting IR lights or brackets, provides a 3.3V power output, and supports all revisions of the Raspberry Pi.
