The unique shape of this lead screw nut causes it to index with the opening in Open goRAIL to create a linear drive with all kinds of possibilities. . The top of the nut protrudes through the open slot of the Open goRAIL so that you can fasten items to any of the five M4 threaded holes. When installed in the Open goRAIL, the top of the nut is exactly flush with the top edge of the Open goRAIL. If your project allows, it's good practice to add just a bit of space between the top of the nut, and the item that fastens to the top. This minimizes unnecessary friction between the top of the Open goRAIL and the moving parts driven by the lead screw.Take note of the recesses on the sides for magnets!
